WPF DataGrid with horizontal data columns?

May 14, 2009 at 1:34 PM

Every example I see of DataGrid has the data columns defined vertically, but I have a requirement for the properties to be down the left side in a header instead of the top.  I thought that maybe Row would have the same abilities as Column but it does not.  How do I do this other than rotate transform everything -90 and then rotate all the cell contents +90 (haha)?

Don't laugh!

I can't think of any other way of achieving this. I managed to get a rough version up and running pretty quickly here:

A horizontal or transposed DataGrid is an essential feature we're missing, I think.

I've added this to the Issue Tracker, so if you are interested in seeing this implemented, vote for it.
