Skinning wpf ribbon

May 2, 2009 at 10:12 PM
I'm trying to skin a wpf ribbon in expression blend and I'm getting nowhere... nothing changes if I try the properties and I get an error when I try to change the style... any help?

The Ribbon CTP doesn't have any skinning APIs implemented yet, and the normal things (Background, Foreground, etc.) won't work properly b/c the Ribbon is a complex control and these properties don't inherit properly at the moment.  If you want to reskin Ribbon, you'll have to retemplate it.  (You can see the default templates using the Reflector tool with the BAML Viewer add-on.)

I'm fine with the retemplate idea... where can I find the reflector tool, etc? Thanks
