sealed DatePickerTextBox

Wouldn't it be nice if the DatePickerTextBox wasn't sealed?

I could then extend the DatePickerTextBox with my MaskedTextBox or FunnyLookingTextBox and still keep the DatePicker contact with its textbox.

Maybe in the future MS will open this up a little more for us, but I think currently the best solution is to download the source code, make changes to the toolkit and then extend the DatePicker with your new textboxes.  I'm not sure about the legality, but after you finish maybe you could post your changes back as a new project here on codeplex for other people to use.

That would be perfectly legal and is currently the recommended practice :-)  We are looking to open this site up to community contributions in the future, but that won't be for a while.  In the meantime, you are more than welcome to download and modify the source and then repost it elsewhere (whether on another Codeplex site or your blog or wherever).  Just make sure that you read and understand the license: http://www.codeplex.com/wpf/license.  Thanks!
