Filling the Row Header

Aug 29, 2008 at 6:37 PM
I know you can populate the column header like

dataGrid1.Columns[0].Header =

"test1";

Is there an equivilant for the ROW HEADER?

Thanks

Yes, DataGridRow also has a Header property.  DataGridRow is a visual generated by the ItemsControl so you will have to access it either programmatically by searching the visual tree like the GetRow() method or through a style set on DataGridRow.

Vincent

I tryed that.  I even tryed using the GetRow() function but the row always comes up null.  And I get an error when trying the add the row header.

DataGridRow

row = (DataGridRow)DataGrid.ItemContainerGenerator.ContainerFromIndex(0);

row.Header =

"test";

Could you post the code snippet where you are using that line:

row = (DataGridRow)DataGrid.ItemContainerGenerator.ContainerFromIndex(0);

Well I guess never mind.  It doesn't seem you can edit that row except programmatically anyway?

Thanks anyway.
