Datagrid styling

I'm working with vs2010 release candidate and I have a gridview.
I applied styling.
Doesn't work like it does with the toolkit datagrid.
Specifically, no AlternationIndexso no alternating colours.
(actually no styling on the grid rows because the datatriggers just don't fire ).
I gather that the datagrid in vs2010 is an earlier version than in the toolkit.
Between now and full release I need datagrids styled with alternating rows.
I was thinking that this is likely to be a fairly common issue that otheres have encountered.
Anyhow my thinking.
Add the toolkit DLL to my project.
Refer to that temporarily.
Once full release is available, remove the reference and change the code to use the datagrid in vs2010.
Is this a good idea?
Is the release version of the datagrid going to be the same as the toolkit version or will my code break?
